CoxyCookiesHii it's me Sadie. going to the swimming pool with my friends. also I had to share this with you guys- I installed an in-ground pool in my previous house. I'm in Canada, so the pool needs to be closed and "winterized" for part of the year. I used it daily for the first year. After that, I settled into the idea of owning a pool, and it became a 2-3 times per week thing. I never expected to maintain daily use. I had an open invitation to my friends to come use it whenever. So it got its use. Some of my friends would bring their kids and have a pool party. Most of my friends would plan a pool party for their birthdays. The most difficult thing was the bathroom situation. When you have a pool party, or even just a few friends over, you need to plan on everyone needing to use the bathroom at least twice during their time in the pool. My bathroom wasn't exactly in close proximity to the entrance from the backyard. I actually rented a porta-potty in several situations where there were going to be lots of people. If you want to install a pool, on top of all the usual concerns and expenses, I would strongly encourage people to consider their bathroom situation. Tile floors are ideal (it quickly ruined hardwood that was on the path from my entrance to the bathroom). Also consider the fact that your bathroom is going to be soaking wet after a pool party. If you have the budget and space to build an outdoor bathroom structure (something that can be hosed down), you will thank yourself. I wouldn't own a pool again. I'm glad I did it, but it was too much work...
