Does anyone else feel out of place at the 'a safe space' HRLive events? It reminds me of the people who talk to me in a patronizing performative manner like they're an ally, then will deadname and disrespect behind closed doors. There's a big chunk of the queer community that is trans-exclusionary and it's especially hard to be trans in the US at the moment. I don't know, probably just a me thing. I just feel very isolated and the whole thing felt very forced. #explore #nottryingtostartafuss

Unfortunately you're not alone. I've felt this too, so I usually avoid those HR Lives now. We can be each other's Safe Space if you'd like? Being Transgender is hard, made harder by bigots. But ILY and many other do too! Let's be Punk Rock and Live.

Oh this breaks my heart. I am not a trans person, so I can’t begin to understand your fear, but I hope you know you are truly so loved. I haven’t been a fan of “a safe space” for some time because it feels theatrical to me as well.
