Highrise

Hi Highrisers, DrDropKicks here ![]()
Today, we’re diving into Flutter Park, our first step towards building deeper, replayable activities in Highrise. One of the biggest takeaways from past feedback is that our games often don’t have enough complexity or content to stay engaging long-term. Flutter Park is designed with that in mind.
It will debut as a flash event, with more features planned to complement it as part of our broader push for higher-quality experiences. Flutter Park releases sometime September. (date TBD)
While we’re aiming for high quality, the first version of Flutter Park is a beta with some pieces still incomplete. That is intentional, because we want to shape it with the community! Feedback from players will be vital to deciding where Flutter Park goes next, as our plan is for this event to grow into a permanent world.
To make sharing easier, we’re adding a Feedback NPC inside Flutter Park. Players can interact with this NPC to leave thoughts and suggestions directly while playing.
This special event runs on a day/night cycle where players can explore and catch critters with friends. Critters vary based on the time of day and are scattered around the entirety of Flutter Park, so make sure you collect them all! This loop ensures the park always feels alive and keeps players moving between areas.
For now, critters can be traded in for tickets, but they will also play a role in future features
.
Blitz is a fast-paced game mode where groups of up to five players race to catch as many critters as possible in a short session.
In its first version, players will earn extra tickets by hitting critter collection milestones. In future updates, we plan to add competitive and leaderboard elements for both groups and individuals, complete with exclusive rewards.
Flutter Park is meant to expand over time, not end after its debut. Some possibilities we’re already exploring include:
Flutter Park is our experiment in building better games that is guided by the community. By launching in beta and listening closely, we can ensure it grows in the right direction while maintaining quality.
We’re excited to test it together, learn from feedback, and shape what comes next. We’ll be back with updates as we learn from this first run. Flutter Park launches sometime September (date TBD). See you there!
