:clapper_board: LAST THURSDAY: Highrise Academy - Style Challenge Event

Class was in session on 8/27, and this one ran as a UDC contest, so the looks on the runway came from community designers rather than the art team alone. This event was the first to run both Pachinko and Dice Fight.

:crown: THIS THURSDAY: Crystal Clear - Fishing Event

Crystal Clear launches Thursday 9/3 as a Fishing Club Event! It’s also the start of the Fall Crew War. May the best Crew win!

New this round:

  • An AFK energy prompt: if you are sitting at full energy after fishing three
  • Room buffs now stack in duration instead of being wasted. Buying a luck boost while one is already running adds 15 minutes to it rather than overwriting it.

:shopping_bags: RECENTLY RELEASED

Everything below went live in the past week and is in the shop now.

  • Candy Riot (8/31): sugar-rush color and loud silhouettes. → Open the grab
  • Delulu Couture (8/29): for times when you’re feeling a little delulu. → Open the grab
  • Purrlings: Creepyborn (8/28): the spooky corner of the Purrling lineup. → Open the grab
  • Highrise Academy (8/27): the UDC grab from last Thursday’s event, community-designed throughout. → Open the grab

:hammer_and_wrench: IN 4.29.15 (NEXT CLIENT UPDATE)

This build has been released across platforms and is rolling out now, with iOS moving through App Store review, so it may reach you a little later than Android, Mac and Windows.

  • Multi-factor authentication is in, which is the significant one: it is the account-security change a lot of you have been asking for after the recent compromise reports.
  • You can buy furniture from inside design mode now, so decorating no longer means leaving the room to shop and coming back.
  • First-party worlds can skip the in-world purchase confirmation prompt, cutting a tap out of purchases in Highrise-made worlds.
  • The “Open Now” button no longer sticks around after you have already opened a Pal or container during a reveal sequence.
  • Pinned crew chat messages show the correct username and avatar instead of blanks when the sender is not already loaded on your device.
  • Fixed a soft lock where tapping “Select Gift” after buying a gift would trap you in landscape mode.

:speech_balloon: *YOUR FEEDBACK

Bubble costs. The odds change on the grab landed and players tracking their own spend confirmed it: batteries are reachable in far fewer spins than before. The objection that survived the fix is that the sinks got fairer while the faucets did not move, with players putting combined daily spin and battery costs around 21,500 bubbles. Two daily tasks were also called out as net-negative by construction, one asking for 3,500 bubbles spent to return 100, another asking for a 499-bubble purchase to return 100. Charles responded in the thread that the likely fix is reframing those rewards so they read as rebates rather than earnings. Faucet rates and battery pricing have not changed.
